Lauriston Girls’ School is dedicated to empowering young women through exceptional educational opportunities that inspire academic achievement, personal growth, and community impact. Thanks to the philanthropic support of our community, we provide a nurturing environment where each student can thrive and discover her potential.

A School for Life

It is our mission to inspire Lauriston girls to be courageous lifelong learners. They are ethical and compassionate young women who seek to resolve new-world problems and strive to be responsible, global citizens working with others to shape their world.

Needs-Based Foundation Scholarships

At the heart of Lauriston’s commitment to equal opportunity is the Lauriston Foundation, which offers needs-based Foundation Scholarships to support students from Year 7 through Year 12, including participation in our unique Year 9 Howqua Program. This transformative program, set in Victoria’s beautiful high country, allows students to develop independence, courage, and leadership through immersive, experiential learning.

By removing financial barriers, Foundation Scholarships open doors for talented girls from diverse backgrounds to access the outstanding education and life-changing experiences at Lauriston, positively affecting their lives, families, and communities.

Facilities to provide girls with a holistic, all-round education

Philanthropic gifts to Lauriston’s Building Program further elevate our school’s vision through an ambitious 10-year Masterplan that includes world-class facilities for sport, health, music, and the arts. Key projects like the Ullmer Sports & Wellbeing Centre and the Science & Resource Centre reflect Lauriston’s unwavering commitment to a future of courageous, lifelong learning.

Make a difference to the lives of girls in years to come

Through planned giving and bequests—such as joining The Elizabeth Kirkhope Circle—Lauriston donors create a lasting legacy that enriches generations of students and commemorates the legacy of Miss Kirkhope, who strongly advocated for the continued growth and progression of girls’ education.
