SCEGGS is a non-selective Anglican school for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12, with a school population of just over 900 girls. Located near the centre of Sydney, it attracts students from all over the metropolitan area and is able to utilise the educational resources of the city.

SCEGGS aims to educate its students to become confident, competent and articulate young women in a nurturing, caring and friendly environment, which values diversity and individuality. SCEGGS girls enjoy coming to school!

The SCEGGS Trust is the major fundraising arm of the school, providing financial assistance towards maintaining the school’s excellence in education, continuing the capital development program and providing a financial base to guarantee the school’s future independence.

The Trust raises money through the Shining Light Program for the Scholarship, Building and Endowment Funds. Gifts to these Funds assist SCEGGS in providing outstanding facilities together with ensuring diversity in the school community and the much valued independence of the School.

The Shining Light Program’s current focus is the Scholarship Fund. Historically SCEGGS has had a long commitment to social justice, diversity and opportunity and the Scholarship Fund has been set up to provide opportunities to those girls who would not otherwise be able to access a SCEGGS education. Supported by parents, Old Girls and friends of SCEGGS, the Scholarship Fund is an important part of the school’s history and future.

SCEGGS has enjoyed a long and remarkable tradition of philanthropy, which continues to ensure that the school can provide the best possible educational opportunities for current and future girls. We are grateful for every gift given to SCEGGS and the philanthropic spirit in which they are made.
