The Hutchins School is an Anglican day and boarding school for boys from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 all on one campus. Established in 1846, Hutchins has a long tradition of developing men of character with a firm focus on the wellbeing of boys. As a community, we aspire to be people of integrity who act with humility, kindness, courage and respect. Our highly skilled staff are committed to the holistic development of each student within a nurturing environment where students are challenged to be the best they can be.

Our long and proud history of academic achievement is complemented by a diverse co-curricular program that features comprehensive sport, performing arts and service programs. The opportunities available for students to discover their passion, broaden their experience and embrace challenge are extensive and are designed to equip students with the essential skills that will serve them for life.

Learning at The Hutchins School is about providing opportunities for students to discover their passions. Our learning philosophy is based on the principle that we value and celebrate the individuality of each student. Learning programs are structured to guide the students in the development of their values, knowledge, understanding and skills, and to prepare them for experiences beyond the classroom.

Generations of support from donors including Old Boys, parents and carers, as well as the broader community, allows The Hutchins School to provide opportunities for boys to become their best.

The Advancement Office was established in 2018 to help foster and drive a culture of giving within the School and its broader community. The Hutchins School would simply not exist without philanthropy.

Making a gift is an extraordinary statement of support for our shared goals. We strive to provide every opportunity for boys to become their best, while sharing the experience of a Hutchins education with students that may not otherwise have the opportunity.

Make your Mark is a capital campaign committed to building a new multipurpose complex. The Signature Building will become the heart of our campus including an auditorium space, swimming pool, sports and performing arts facilities, and future focused teaching spaces.

The 1846 Society has been established to acknowledge and honour those who have confirmed their intention to include The Hutchins School in their will. These gifts help shape the School to become a leading educational institution for boys, and encourages further members of the Hutchins family to do the same.

Letting us know if you have confirmed a gift-in-will is important. By informing Hutchins of your intention to leave a bequest we can acknowledge and thank you in your lifetime. It also allows us to ensure that your wishes are carried out.
