Founded in 1851, Scotch College has been educating boys for over 160 years.  Located in the heart of Melbourne, our single campus, spanning 27 hectares and flanked by the Yarra River, provides a home for approximately 1880 boys from Prep to Year 12, including 150 boarders.  A committed and engaged staff delivers a broad curricular and co-curricular program for our boys.  The Scotch College of today is a modern and dynamic Australian School.  Scotch is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of Victoria and Christian teachings underpin all that we do.

While our Scottish heritage continues to be celebrated as the Foundation for the value we place on faith, reason and service, and the role we believe education plays in empowering young people to take control of their lives.

Established in 1973, the Scotch College Foundation is the organisation through which financial support for the College is directed.  Its broad objective is to anticipate and provide for the funding needs of Scotch College over and above what is provided by school fees and government grants.  Support is given through donations and gifts directed to the College through any of the Foundation’s fundraising programmes.

The Scotch College Foundation exists to support the work and goals of the School.  Income from fees cannot provide the financial basis for development, and so Scotch relies on the work of the Foundation to support its aims and help bring its long-term goals to fruition.  Its purpose is to raise money to assist with the development of the School and to support the School’s scholarship and bursary programme.

This year the Foundation is raising funds to support the School’s Indigenous Scholarship Programme.  This programme, created in 1996, has enabled 20 indigenous students to benefit from a Scotch College education to date. The Indigenous Programme aims to unite indigenous and non-indigenous students, staff and the broader school community in the understanding that education is a key building block for the future of Indigenous Australians.

More can be learnt about this programme by visiting www.scotch.vic.edu.au

Of course you can also support the Scotch College Foundation Scholarship Fund which funds academic, music, boarding and needs-based scholarships.

The Scotch College Building Fund drives the School’s Development Plan.  Current projects include:

A new Student and Maths Centre in the Senior School

  • A new Dining Hall/Cafeteria in the Senior School
  • A new Design Technology Centre in the Senior School
  • A new Mess Hall at Elliott Lodge

The Foundation Endowment Fund exists to future-proof Scotch.

You can join the Scotch College Foundation by supporting any of these funds through the AISUSA Foundation at the following levels:

Membership Level Financial Commitment
