At Cranbrook our vision is to be a world class school which encourages and enables all of our students to explore, enjoy and fulfil their potential. We lead our students to discover and make the most of their talents, give of their best and thrive in and love the pursuit of excellence.

As a school we energise the educational environment by offering a rich and distinctive schooling both within and beyond the curriculum and give powerful pastoral support. We uphold the character of our Anglican foundation in order to promote the moral and spiritual development of each student and foster the principles of service.

Cranbrook’s newly established Year 12 College housed in the beautiful historic Cranbrook Building is a unique study space for our most senior boys and played an important role in Cranbrook’s outstanding 2014 HSC results. The College provides an excellent working environment both within and beyond the school day where boys can work on their own, in quiet study groups or with a tutor strengthening their skills and approach to study which will serve them well at university and beyond. The College also provides holiday consolidation courses, presentations and lectures enhancing the boys’ study, maintaining balance and opening their minds to new interests. The restoration of the Cranbrook Building was directly attributed to the philanthropic support of our current families.

In 2013 Cranbrook purchased Wolgan Valley, a 120 acre property which borders the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage region. The region has a varied and rich cultural history. Plans are underway to develop the property to provide a comprehensive academic and outdoor educational environment creating a challenging, rigorous, holistic and transformational educational experience.

The Cranbrook School sports programme is one of inclusiveness, opportunity, and competition. We encourage the balance between the team and the individual within each sport as well as placing great importance on the ongoing cultivation of skills, training and conditioning. The 2014 success in the CAS Rugby Premiership was achieved according to the principles of a liberal education: rigorous preparation, wholehearted commitment and brilliant coaching.

Cranbrook’s Junior School a world class facility designed by leading Sydney Architect Alec Tzannes was opened in 2012 – it is school in a park! The architecture reflects the main educational underpinnings of Cranbrook’s teaching and learning with large classrooms and specialised teaching rooms, grand piazzas and an impressive gymnasium. Thanks to the Cranbrook community the Cranbrook Foundation raised in excess of $10m towards this project.

The Headmaster and the School Council are now focusing on the re-development of the Senior School campus at Bellevue Hill. With the school’s Centenary in 2018, The Cranbrook Foundation is now in the initial stages of planning a Capital Appeal to support the re-development. As the school approaches its Centenary, the Cranbrook Foundation will be seeking the support of Old Cranbrookians, past and present families and friends to realise these exciting plans while ensuring that Cranbrook School remains one of the Australia’s leading boys’ schools.

Cranbrook is indebted to the many USA based alumni and friends who have so generously supported the School through tax deductible gifts via the AISUSA Foundation.
