Bond University builds on Australia’s outstanding reputation for excellence in private education as the nation’s leading independent, not-for-profit university focussed on producing graduates who are distinguished by their entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to give back to their communities.

Established in 1989, Bond has revolutionised the delivery of tertiary qualifications by providing a personalised ‘boutique’ teaching environment where students are mentored in small class groups by world-class academics and industry leaders who expand the learning experience far beyond the classroom. Our programs are also embedded with external enrichment opportunities, such as community service programs, international competitions and leadership projects that fulfil our promise to deliver much more than a degree.

As a result, Bond consistently ranks as Australia’s highest rated university for educational experience and is internationally recognised as a proven training ground for corporate and community leaders.

Bond is a private university and as such receives limited government funding to support its five-star education model. From its initial establishment, the Bond ‘dream’ has been brought to life by corporate achievers, philanthropists and community-minded individuals who share our vision and all donations, as well as all tuition fees, are directly reinvested in our students and facilities.

The key areas identified for donor support are:

Student Experience

Bond’s extensive Scholarship Programs allows us to support the most deserving students, regardless of their background or financial means. For students who demonstrate academic excellence, sporting achievement and community leadership, our donors provide full and part payment of tuition fees, bursaries to offset living and study expenses, and funding grants for learning-relevant external projects. We also acknowledge the highest study and career achievement through our alumni and student medals.

Research

Bond actively supports the university’s culture of research through various grants awarded to higher degree by research students and our academics.

Facilities

Our on-going building program ensures that Bond’s students have access to the very latest state-of-the-art facilities equipped with current and emerging workplace technologies. Thanks to the generosity and foresight of our donors, Bond is home to Australia’s first 6 Green Star-rated educational building, the award-winning Abedian School of Architecture and a multi-million dollar Legal Skills Centre with a fully electronic moot court modelled on the High Court of Australia. Future projects include a major expansion of the library facilities.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss ideas for further donor-supported projects and inviting our supporters to become part of Bond’s extended global family.
